Raffles and 50/50s

You can run a bat raffle or a 50/50, and sell the tickets online. League Aid keeps a list of each buyer for the drawing.

Once you sign up, set it up in your dashboard: open Raffles, accept the release, upload your Stripe raffle approval, and we verify it; then create a Raffle / 50-50 drop.

What parents pay

Parents pay the ticket price only, with a debit card. League Aid does not charge a fee on raffle tickets.

A parent can add an optional tip to League Aid. The tip starts at $0, and it is never added unless they choose it. A tip does not change how many entries they get, or their odds. A receipt lists the ticket price and any tip on separate lines. A ticket is not a donation.

What your league handles

Your league asks Stripe to approve raffle ticket sales on your own Stripe account, then uploads that approval. League Aid verifies it. You also follow your state and county raffle rules, including any permit, and the nonprofit rules that apply to your organization.

  • Confirm your organization has nonprofit status (for example a 501(c), or Little League's group exemption).
  • Check local permit rules. In Virginia, a permit is not required when raffles bring in $40,000 or less a year in total ticket sales. Maryland is county by county, and Charles County requires a permit through the County Attorney's Office.
  • Check with your state or county whether tickets can be sold online.

This isn't legal advice. Your organization runs the raffle. League Aid is not the raffle operator. Reynolds Properties Group LLC does business as League Aid.
